Job Summary

The Food Safety Trainer will design, deliver, and assess food safety training programs from basic to advanced levels (HACCP, Allergen Management, Auditing, and PIC). The ideal candidate must be bilingual (English & Arabic), experienced with Highfield or equivalent awarding bodies, and qualified to conduct both classroom and e-assessment training sessions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver food safety courses at various levels including:
  • Basic Food Hygiene / Good Hygiene Practices (GHP)
  • HACCP (Levels 2–4)
  • Allergen Management
  • Food Safety Auditing & Inspection
  • Person-in-Charge (PIC) Certification
  • Develop and update training materials and assessments in compliance with awarding body standards.
  • Conduct Train-the-Trainer sessions and support trainer development.
  • Assess learners fairly and maintain high pass rates with full awarding body compliance.
  • Enroll and support candidates for PIC certification pathways and e-assessments.
  • Stay updated on local (Municipality, SFDA, MoH) and international food safety regulations.
  • Maintain training records, certification logs, and renewal tracking accurately.
  • Liaise with awarding bodies and local authorities for approvals and audits.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, Environmental/Public Health, Veterinary Science, or Hotel Management (specializing in Food Safety).

Professional Certifications:

  • Highfield Level 3 (or equivalent) in Food Safety, HACCP, Allergen Management, and Auditing.
  • Train-the-Trainer / Instructional Techniques certification.

Experience:

  • Minimum
    2–3 years
    of professional experience in Food Safety training, inspection, auditing, or supervision.
  • Proven experience delivering HACCP and PIC programs.
  • Familiarity with SFDA, Municipality, and international food safety standards.

Skills:

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills (Arabic & English).
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles.
  • Attention to detail, documentation, and reporting accuracy.
