We are working closely with a large client, headquartered in Dubai for a KSA Country Head. The firm seeks a visionary and strategic Country Manager to spearhead the commercial expansion and operational excellence of our logistics and freight forwarding operations across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Based out of Jeddah, the role is responsible for the strategic direction and exceptional performance of all freight forwarding, contract logistics, warehousing, and value-added services offered within the Kingdom. This pivotal leadership role encompasses oversight of existing branch offices in Jeddah, Dammam, and Riyadh, with the responsibility to spearhead the establishment and management of future locations as we solidify our dominance in the region. You will report directly to the COO – GCC Logistics in the Dubai regional office.

Strategic Leadership and Growth:


• Develop and execute a comprehensive growth strategy to position the firm as the premier logistics provider of choice in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.


• Identify new business opportunities and guide strategic expansion plans, including the selection and launch of new branch offices in key locations throughout the Kingdom.


• Foster a high-performing and results-oriented team culture across all Saudi branches. Cultivate a strong customer focus, ensuring exceptional service delivery that consistently exceeds client expectations and fosters long-term partnerships.


• Partner with regional leadership to actively participate in shaping the firm's Logistics and Forwarding strategy for the Kingdom in alignment with Regional Strategy. This includes defining the future of our trucking, customs house brokerage, Freight Forwarding and warehousing solutions to meet evolving customer needs and market demands.


• Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across sales, finance, operations, and human resources to secure further investments and strategically scale up our logistics solutions, ensuring a comprehensive portfolio of services catering to diverse customer requirements.

Sales & Business Development:


• Contribute directly to securing new business opportunities by actively participating in the sales process. Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to acquire new clients and expand market share within the designated territory.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders across the Saudi Arabian logistics landscape. This includes government agencies, industry associations, potential and existing clients, and other relevant partners. Act as a trusted advisor, understanding their specific needs and challenges and developing customized logistics solutions that deliver tangible value.

Operational Excellence and Profitability:


• Contribute directly to securing new business opportunities by actively participating in the sales process. Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to acquire new clients and expand market share within the designated territory.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders across the Saudi Arabian logistics landscape. This includes government agencies, industry associations, potential and existing clients, and other relevant partners. Act as a trusted advisor, understanding their specific needs and challenges and developing customized logistics solutions that deliver tangible value.

Requirements


• Minimum 10 years of demonstrably successful leadership experience in a senior logistics management role, preferably within KSA and GCC region. A proven track record of leading and growing a logistics business in a competitive market is essential.


• In-depth knowledge of freight forwarding, contract logistics, warehousing, and other related logistics services, including a comprehensive understanding of international trade practices and customs regulations. Specific knowledge of Saudi Arabian customs regulations and trade practices is highly desirable.


• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to motivate, inspire, and develop a high-performing team. A collaborative and relationship-oriented approach is key to fostering a positive and productive work environment.


• Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders at all levels, cultivating trust and acting as a strategic partner in their supply chain success.


• Fluency in English and Arabic is a strong advantage, as it allows for seamless communication with a diverse range of stakeholders
