Supervisor, WIP Management AMTPJ

Job Summary:

Schedule and distribute production and material movement plans, guides foreman and subordinates to achieve department KPI's and production targets. Involved on manpower distribution, training and guidance and ensure adherence to company health and safety procedures and quality procedures. Supervise operational plant activities and coordinate with other departments to achieve company goals. Accountable to monitor stock level, accuracy and storage condition. Responsible to monitor during shift full compliance and implementation of internal procedures and guidelines related with Safety and Health.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensuring compliance with company's health and safety procedures, and quality procedures and standards of the company.
• Follow the instructions of the superior authorities, that does not conflict with the company rules and regulations.
• Give feedback on safer, more efficient ways of performing tasks in keeping with a continual improvement mindset when performing tasks.
• Understanding the risks associated with activities performed and define actions to mitigate risk.
• Schedule material to the lines via operation management system, and distribute pipes handling plans to foremen and employees.
• Planning and organizing human resources and equipment to achieve production plans.
• Coordinating daily tasks according to priorities and plans, making changes when necessary based on weather, lines condition, and personnel.
• Ensuring all employees are in compliance with company's internal rules and safety procedures.
• Monitor the housekeeping in the internal/external storage yards and equipment.
• Manage attendance of employees (Direct, and contractors) and ensure their attendance in working time.
• Arrange and approve annual leaves for employees.
• Follow up inspection sheets of equipment, and ensure that it is filled based on its periodical schedule.
• Monitor, coach, and lead the team to ensure achieve production plans, and WIP inventory control KPIs.
• Coordinate with ISD safety officers in case of any violations.
• Prepare investigation reports in case of incidents or violations.
• Coordinate with external parties to ensure smooth operations.
• Emphasizing safe use of tools and equipment while providing training on safety gear, PPEs, and procedures. In addition to periodical safety toolboxes to the employees to remind them about safety regulations and procedures.
• Resolving conflicts or miscommunications quickly between WIP employees or with external parties.
• Communicating with rigging, heavy machinery operators, foremen and shift supervisors.
• Communicate with WIP, management for reporting and informing any incident or important information.
• Manage inter-mill related activities, support production unplanned activities, monitor rework of objected material and disposal of rejected material in a timely manner meeting department KPI's.
• Track production backlog and material readiness through operation management system.
• Prepare reports related to stock and activities within the department.

Education:

• Minimum industrial diploma, preferably bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical or related field.
• Safety and Health Certification on safety related field
• 5S Training

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years of experience in material handling, stock management and inventory in a supervisory role in a similar industry.
• Have solid background about rigging, overhead cranes, forklifts, and trailer trucks.
• Excellent knowledge of Operation management system, SAP.
