Senior Planning Engineer – Multi-Projects (KSA)

Location:
Kingdom of Saudi Arabia – Head Office / Project-Based

We are looking for a Senior Planning Engineer to lead the planning and scheduling function for multiple construction projects in KSA. The ideal candidate is an expert in Primavera P6, highly strong in reporting and analytics, and comfortable working with project directors and site teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, update and control baseline and revised programs for multiple projects using Primavera P6.
  • Integrate engineering, procurement and construction activities into realistic, logic-linked schedules.
  • Prepare resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules, histograms and curves where required.
  • Monitor progress on all assigned projects, identify delays, risks and opportunities, and propose recovery/mitigation plans.
  • Prepare and present clear, high-quality weekly and monthly reports for management, clients and consultants, including:
  • Progress S-curves and look-ahead programs
  • Variance analyses (planned vs actual)
  • Key milestones, critical path status and risk items
  • Lead time impact analysis (TIA) and support EOT / delay claims with proper documentation and logic-based justification.
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, site teams, procurement, QA/QC and finance to ensure the program reflects reality and interfaces.
  • Maintain and regularly update project dashboards and KPIs for portfolio-level overview.
  • Support tendering and business development with preliminary/tender programs, construction methodologies and milestone strategies.
  • Ensure all planning and scheduling practices align with company standards and contractual requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 12+ years planning/scheduling experience in construction/contracting, handling multiple projects in KSA.
  • Expert-level user of Primavera P6 (must be hands-on; advanced use of filters, layouts, coding, resources, claims support).
  • Strong experience in:
  • Baseline and revised schedules
  • Critical path analysis and what-if scenarios
  • Resource and cost loading
  • Time impact analysis and delay claims support
  • Very strong reporting and presentation skills:
  • Advanced MS Excel (pivot tables, charts, formulas)
  • Clear progress narratives, management summaries and visuals
  • Solid understanding of contractual aspects of time, milestones, LDs and EOT procedures.
  • Highly organized, analytical and detail-oriented; able to manage priorities across multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written & verbal); Arabic is a plus.
