About the Company

Position: Senior Manager – Veterinary Services

Reports to: Vice President – Livestock

Department: Livestock

Team Size: 12 direct, 50+ total

Scope: Veterinary, vaccination, cleaning, manure and water quality, and lab operations

About the Role

Job Purpose: Lead and manage veterinary and biosecurity functions across breeder, broiler, and hatchery operations to ensure bird health, food safety, and operational efficiency. Implement innovation, KPIs, and cost control measures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and monitor biosecurity, vaccination, and medication programs.
  • Oversee veterinary lab, sampling, and data analysis.
  • Coordinate with broiler, breeder, and hatchery teams on disease prevention and chick quality.
  • Manage cleaning, manure removal, and water quality programs.
  • Ensure compliance, audits, and reporting (daily, weekly, monthly).
  • Develop and monitor departmental business plans, budgets, and KPIs.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate veterinary and technical teams.
  • Liaise with PPP, Quality, and Ministry of Agriculture for disease monitoring.
  • Ensure safety standards and preventive maintenance of equipment.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's in Veterinary Medicine / Animal Husbandry / DVM (or equivalent).

Required Skills

  • Experience: 10+ years in poultry health, disease diagnosis, post-mortem inspection, and husbandry.
  • Proven management experience across breeder, broiler, and hatchery operations.

Preferred Skills

  • Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of avian health, vaccination, biosecurity, and laboratory diagnostics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic preferred.
