The Role
As a Housekeeping Supervisor – Public area, your role is to serve the needs of the business, our guests, and our colleagues by supporting the management of the hotel's Housekeeping department, ensuring that all areas of the hotel are well maintained and cleaned, and providing guests and employees with a safe and orderly environment.
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the appearance and environment of all guest rooms meets the highest standards as set by Red Sea Global Hospitality. He or she trains, leads, and works with all housekeeping associates to provide exceptionally clean, neat, and well-maintained guest rooms and corridors. The supervisor also manages the room attendants on the floor and public area attendants on the hotel public area and conducts inspections daily.

Key Areas of Responsibilities
Please note that the responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive. Red Sea Global Hospitality employees continuously innovate in caring for the needs of the business, their guests, and their colleagues. As a Housekeeping Supervisor – Public area, you will need to:
- Guarantee the cleanliness of all public, guest-facing, and back-of-house areas of the hotel at all times.
- Ensure that all employees are acting in accordance with Health and Safety standards, using and storing chemicals properly, and using necessary safety materials when carrying out their tasks.
- Responsible for ensuring that all team members are aware of and follow departmental SOP's and LSOPs make them accessible to all employees for reference, revision, and updates as needed.
- Collaborate with the hotel training manager to identify training needs, develop, and deliver essential training for department employees to meet business requirements. Support the training of the Departmental Trainers to improve hotel service quality consistently.
- Coach and guide new members of the team, with proper orientation training.
- Assist in managing relationships with suppliers.
- Monitor the condition and keep records of linen, toweling, uniforms and other items if applicable, to maintain adequate supply levels.
- Ensure that lost and found items are properly stored and maintain accurate logs.

- Develop and maintain a motivational working environment within the department and positive relations with other departments.
- Provide training to the employees to enhance their skills in various aspects of housekeeping.
- Inaugurate measures to reduce all wastage of materials and amenities that are used in the department.
- Monitor and ensure that proper key controls are in place.
- Manage overtime effectively by implementing good management practices and promptly addressing any issues that arise.
- Support and attend task force missions for the hotel to aid in the opening of new Red Sea Global Hospitality properties.
- Ensure VIP requirements are met.
- Oversee all special requests are met, with reference to families visiting our resorts with children.
- Perform any additional duties as required for operational smoothness.
