Responsibilities

· To carry out driving tasks on all RSNF vehicles, such as fork lift trucks, cars, articulated lorries/trucks and mobile cranes, as required to support Al Jawf Class Minehunters.

· To carry out daily servicing and safety checks on any vehicle allocated to him in the performance of his duties and maintain that vehicle in a clean condition.

· To deploy with the Forward Support Unit and to work such shift patterns as required to guarantee full maintenance support cover for the vessels. Accommodation during deployment will be within the FSU complex, or as assigned.

· To undertake other duties as assigned on Al Jawf Class Minehunters.

· Report any defects, deficiencies or deterioration in performance of a vehicle to his immediate condition.

· To work shift patterns as required in support of ship maintenance, or repair as directed

· To adhere to the requirements of RSNF directives, Safety Procedures and Codes of Practice.

· To observe confidentiality of RSNF data at all times.

Job Requirements:

· Four years' experience as a Heavy Goods Articulated Vehicles Driver.

· Two years' experience as a qualified Crane Operator.

· Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.   

· Hold a full Heavy Goods valid driving licence from country of origin.

· Hold a Crane Operators licence.

· Secondary school graduate or equivalent educational standard.

· Satisfactory completion of a thorough physical and dental examination prior to taking up post.
