Job Summary

Digital Pay is seeking a talented POS / Mada Payment Application Developer to join our R&D team in Riyadh. This role focuses on the design, development, testing, and certification of payment applications that comply with Mada and EMV standards on Android-based POS terminals.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing payment applications for POS terminals, particularly within the Saudi market, and a solid understanding of Mada specifications, certification processes, and EMV transaction flows.

This position requires strong technical expertise in Android development, secure payment protocols, and integration with banking systems, as well as close collaboration with QA, certification, and operations teams to ensure compliance and reliability across all payment products.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop, maintain, and enhance Mada-certified POS payment applications on Android platforms.

· Implement and support EMV Level 2 and Level 3 kernels and integration with payment switches.

· Ensure all developments comply with SAMA / Mada specifications and pass certification requirements.

· Collaborate with acquirers, processors, and third parties during certification and UAT cycles.

· Integrate payment features including contact, contactless, and QR-based transactions.

· Work with ISO8583, NEXO ISO20022, and other industry-standard payment protocols.

· Debug, analyze, and resolve field issues using Android logging and debugging tools (Logcat, Profiler, etc.).

· Coordinate with cross-functional teams (QA, product, and certification) to ensure full compliance and timely releases.

· Optimize app performance and ensure stability across various POS hardware models.

Required Qualifications and Skills

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

· years of experience in Android POS and 2+ years of Experience in payment application development.

· Proven experience with Mada Application development and certification.

· Strong understanding of EMV payment flows, transaction processing, and card scheme compliance.

· Knowledge of SAMA / Mada POS application specifications.

· Strong programming skills in Java and Kotlin.

· Experience integrating with REST APIs, WebSockets, and using AIDL for inter-process communication.

· Familiarity with ISO8583 message formats and NEXO ISO20022 standards.

· Knowledge of secure communication protocols and encryption methods used in payment systems.

· Experience with SQLite / Room, multithreading, and asynchronous programming.

· Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

· Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

· Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with payment terminal development and certification.
  • Familiarity with HSM integration, key management, and security compliance.
  • Understanding of PCI-DSS, SAMA compliance, and fintech industry practices.
  • Background in banking, acquiring, or financial services platforms.
