Contract Manager – Giga Project, Riyadh

DMC Global Partners is looking for a dedicated
Contract Manager
to oversee the critical contractual and commercial elements of our Giga Project in Riyadh. This role is essential for minimizing contractual exposure and ensuring compliance across all project agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the contracts and commercial aspects of the construction project, ensuring all contracts are managed in accordance with their terms and conditions.
  • Work alongside the Commercial Director to
    certify invoices
    from contractors and subcontractors.
  • Develop strategic responses to the Contractor's formal letter correspondence to
    minimize contractual exposure
    for the project.
  • Respond to complex contractual communications, including notices,
    claims
    , and
    disputes
    , engaging legal counsel when necessary.
  • Review claims and
    Extension of Time (EOT)
    requests from contractors and make recommendations to the Commercial Director regarding their validity and merit.
  • Work with project teams to ensure all contractual obligations are met, including managing
    variations
    and
    change orders
    .
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to project teams on contractual matters, ensuring all team members are fully briefed on their obligations.
  • Ensure that all contracts are properly documented, maintained, and accessible.

Requirements:

  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, i.e. Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Business, or Law.
  • MRICS is preferrable.
  • Experience:
    Minimum of
    15 years
    of extensive experience in contract management, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Skills:
    Proven track record of success in managing complex contracts.
  • Abilities:
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge:
    Comprehensive knowledge of construction contracts and relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Communication:
    Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
