About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. The role is responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, ensuring timely and efficient execution of projects. You will support the Project Manager in planning and reporting, ensuring adherence to procedures, templates, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee project schedules, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Plan, organize, and coordinate planning activities across departments.
  • Select appropriate planning techniques and sequence of activities for project completion.
  • Input work breakdown structures (WBS) to forecast time, resources, and cash flow.
  • Maintain and update technical records, prepare reports, and generate data for budgets and improvements.
  • Supervise training programs for new employees.
  • Determine logistics solutions for resource management.
  • Set up alerts for contractual and milestone dates.
  • Prepare cash flow charts, histograms, and monthly progress/labor reports.
  • Verify critical paths and monitor interfaces between design, engineering, procurement, and execution.
  • Monitor project progress against baseline planning and update schedules as needed.
  • Collect, analyze, and categorize cost data into organized breakdown structures.
  • Review and validate cost reports, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Advise PM Manager and Construction Division Manager on cost performance and corrective actions.
  • Participate in decision-making processes to improve cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience (and above) as a Planning Engineer.
  • Bachelor's degree in CIVIL Engineering.
  • Extensive knowledge of Primavera P3 or P6 is required.
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools and planning software.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong communication skills in English (Arabic is an advantage).
