Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled
Database Administrator (DBA)
to install, configure, secure, and maintain enterprise database platforms. The role involves performance tuning, high availability management, backup strategies, and ensuring database reliability for mission-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain
    SQL Server
    ,
    Oracle
    , or other enterprise database platforms.
  • Monitor and analyze database performance; implement tuning strategies for improved efficiency.
  • Manage and optimize
    schemas, indexes, partitions, and storage structures
    .
  • Perform regular
    backups, restores, and disaster recovery
    planning and testing.
  • Implement and enforce
    database security
    , access controls, encryption, and best practices.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation (architecture diagrams, SOPs, configurations).
  • Troubleshoot complex database issues (performance bottlenecks, replication failures, corruption, etc.).
  • Support development teams with
    query optimization
    , stored procedures, and data modeling.
  • Configure and manage high availability and replication technologies (e.g.,
    AlwaysOn, Log Shipping, Mirroring, Oracle RAC
    ).
  • Perform
    database upgrades, patching, migrations
    , and environment refreshes.
  • Ensure compliance with
    data governance, retention policies, audit, and regulatory

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years
    of hands-on experience as a
    Database Administrator
    .
  • Strong experience with one or more:
  • SQL Server
  • Oracle
  • MySQL
  • PostgreSQL
  • Expertise in:
  • Performance tuning & query optimization
  • Backup & recovery solutions
  • High availability & disaster recovery configurations
  • Database security best practices
  • Strong command of
    T-SQL
    ,
    PL/SQL
    , or other query languages.
  • Experience with
    cloud database services
    (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, OCI DB, etc.) is a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
  • AWS or Azure Database Certifications
  • ITIL Certification
