Job Summary / The Opportunity
As a logistics Specialist for the new TK Elevator (TKE) & ALAT Joint Venture, you will be a key operational player in building our logistics function in Saudi Arabia from the ground up.
This is a hands-on role with a two-phase mission. Initially, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and performance oversight of our 3PL partner during the "Temporary Warehouse" phase. Subsequently, you will be a key contributor in the transition and stabilization of logistics operations within our new, large-scale manufacturing plant in Dammam.
This role is ideal for a proactive and detail-oriented logistics professional who wants to grow with a strategic, high-growth venture.
- Key Responsibilities
Phase 1: Temporary Warehouse & 3PL Management (Initial 1-2 Years)
• 3PL Performance Management:
o Serve as the daily operational point of contact for our selected 3PL partner.
o Track and monitor the 3PL's performance against key KPIs (On-Time Delivery, Inventory Accuracy, etc.).
o Participate in monthly and quarterly business reviews to discuss performance and operational issues.
• Operational Coordination:
o Ensure smooth execution of all inbound flows, including customs clearance and drayage from KSA ports.
o Oversee the critical component consolidation process performed by the 3PL.
o Coordinate with TKE ALAT's Customer Service (CSC) and Field teams to ensure outbound orders are processed and dispatched correctly by the 3PL.
o Monitor the successful execution of specialized last-mile deliveries (e.g., crane-equipped trucks).
Phase 2: Factory Logistics Operations (Long-Term)
• In-house Logistics Execution:
o Manage the day-to-day inbound logistics at the new factory, including scheduling and receiving goods from global suppliers.
o Oversee internal warehouse operations: put-away, inventory management, and feeding of production lines.
o Coordinate all outbound logistics: planning and dispatching finished elevators/escalators to job sites.
• LSP Management (Transportation):
o Execute transport bookings with TKE's contracted Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) for pre/on-carriage and last-mile delivery.
o Track in-transit shipments and manage any exceptions with the LSPs.
• Project & Transition Support:
o Actively participate in the project to transition logistics activities from the temporary 3PL warehouse to the new factory.
o Support the implementation and stabilization of new logistics processes and SOPs within the factory.
General Responsibilities (Across Both Phases):
• Systems & Data Management:
o Act as a key user of TKE's TMS, responsible for accurate and timely data entry for all shipments.
o Work with the warehouse location and the factory's Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure data integrity.
o Prepare regular operational reports on shipment status, volumes, and performance.
• Problem Solving:
o Identify and resolve day-to-day operational issues, from shipment delays to inventory discrepancies.
- Required Skills & Qualifications (Hard Skills)
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in operational logistics.
• Experience in both warehousing operations (receiving, inventory, fulfillment) and transportation coordination. (Experience with a 3PL environment is a strong plus).
• Familiarity with handling industrial or oversized goods.
• Proficiency with logistics software (TMS and/or WMS). Experience with SAP is an advantage.
• Good understanding of shipping documents, incoterms, and customs processes.
• Proficiency in Arabic. Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Desired Personal Attributes (Soft Skills)
• Detail-Oriented & Organized: Methodical and precise in managing tasks, data, and processes.
• Hands-on Problem Solver: A pragmatic and proactive individual who enjoys solving operational challenges.
• Clear Communicator: Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams (CSC, Field), external partners (3PLs, carriers), and suppliers.
• Adaptable & Eager to Learn: Comfortable working in a start-up environment and able to transition between different operational models (3PL-managed vs. in-house).
• Team Player: A collaborative spirit, able to work effectively within the KSA JV team and with global stakeholders.
