Senior Cybersecurity Presales Engineer

The Senior Cybersecurity Presales Specialist is responsible for leading all technical presales activities, designing cybersecurity solutions, and supporting the sales team with accurate technical proposals. The role includes full responsibility for
project cost calculation, P&L analysis, vendor pricing coordination
, and determining additional costs such as implementation and professional services.
The candidate must have at least 3+ years of hands-on experience in the Saudi cybersecurity market
, with strong awareness of local regulations, customer needs, and the regional cybersecurity vendor landscape. This role ensures ALKAN Arabia submits profitable, competitive, and compliant proposals to enterprise and government clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical presales activities across cybersecurity domains and solutions from major vendors including:
- IBM Security, Trend Micro, Trellix, Proofpoint, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, F5 Security, Elastic Security, Thales, SailPoint, Fortra, BeyondTrust, Tenable, Certes
, and other key cybersecurity technologies. - Calculate total project cost, perform margin analysis, and ensure deal profitability (full P&L ownership).
- Coordinate with vendors and distributors to obtain accurate costs, discounts, and special pricing.
- Estimate additional cost components including implementation, integration, deployment, and professional services.
- Review RFPs/RFQs and prepare technical proposals, compliance matrices, BoMs, and architecture designs.
- Conduct customer workshops, presentations, and technical discovery sessions to understand requirements.
- Design comprehensive cybersecurity architectures for network security, endpoint protection, identity governance, data security, SIEM/SOAR, cloud security, and encryption.
- Support POCs/POVs, deployment guidance, and follow-up with vendors and customers.
- Ensure alignment with local cybersecurity frameworks (NCA ECC/CCC/OTCC/DCC, SACS-002, ISO
- Work closely with sales teams to support account strategies and increase opportunity win rates.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- Must have a minimum of 3+ years of cybersecurity presales experience in the Saudi market.
- 4–7+ years total experience in cybersecurity presales, consulting, or solution architecture.
- Strong understanding of enterprise and government cybersecurity requirements in Saudi Arabia.
- Experience in P&L management, pricing models, project costing, vendor negotiations, and margin calculations.

- Ability to manage multiple complex RFPs and opportunities in parallel.
- Confident, professional, and customer-facing communication.
