Job Summary:

The Project Director is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering consultancy projects. This position ensures that all projects align with strategic objectives, are delivered on time and within budget, and meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Define and communicate the strategic direction of engineering projects.
  • Align project goals with organizational objectives and client expectations.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between executive leadership, clients, and project teams.
  • Project Oversight:
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously across various engineering disciplines.
  • Oversee project managers and ensure effective coordination among teams.
  • Monitor project progress, budgets, and timelines, making adjustments as needed.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular meetings to report on project status, risks, and milestones.
  • Risk and Compliance:
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage project budgets.
  • Approve expenditures and ensure cost-effective resource allocation.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project managers and engineering teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CPD (Certified Project Director).
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in engineering consultancy or project management.
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale, multidisciplinary projects.
