The Design Director Role

As Gene continues to grow, we are looking for a visionary
Design Director
to join our team. This leadership role is at the heart of our creative process, overseeing talented designers to deliver exceptional branding projects for some of the most important organizations in Saudi Arabia and beyond.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead a team of designers to create outstanding, strategy-driven branding solutions.
  • Partner with clients to build trust, inspire confidence, and develop long-term relationships.
  • Ensure the creative direction for multiple brands aligns with their strategy and identity.
  • Guide your team in evaluating, refining, and executing their creative work to the highest standard.
  • Foster collaboration across departments to produce innovative and effective design solutions.
  • Mentor and develop your team, identifying skills gaps and supporting their growth.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have significant experience in a top branding, design, or creative agency, working with high-profile clients and sectors such as government, culture, and technology.
  • Be an expert in branding, with the ability to articulate and execute ideas across multiple touchpoints.
  • Have strong presentation skills and be comfortable engaging with senior clients and internal teams.
  • Be both a collaborative team player and an inspiring leader.
  • Possess a keen eye for detail and a passion for design excellence.
  • A plus; Has knowledge and experience in Saudi Culture.
