This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative urban infrastructure projects in one of the fastest-growing cities in the Middle East.Lead the mechanical engineering aspects of urban planning projects, ensuring alignment with overall project goals and objectivesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive urban development strategiesAnalyse and optimise mechanical systems for urban infrastructure, focusing on efficiency and sustainabilityOversee the design and implementation of mechanical components in large-scale urban projectsManage project timelines, budgets, and resources within the PMO frameworkDevelop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials and private sector partnersEnsure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and environmental standardsMentor junior engineers and contribute to the professional development of the teamPrepare and present technical reports and recommendations to senior management and clientsQualificationsBSc degree (Master's preferred) in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related fieldProfessional Engineering (PE) certification or equivalentMinimum of 10-15 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 5 years focused on urban planning projectsProven experience working within a Project Management Office (PMO) environmentAdvanced knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and their application to urban infrastructureProficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD and NavisWorksStrong understanding of project management methodologies In-depth knowledge of urban planning concepts, sustainable design practices, and Saudi Arabian building codes and regulationsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detailOutstanding leadership abilities and experience managing cross-functional teamsExceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, in EnglishProject Management Professional (PMP) certification is desirableAbility to work effectively in a multicultural environment and adapt to changing project requirementsProfessional Experience with contractors will be a plusAdditional Information
