We are currently seeking for passionate anddynamic Chef de Partie for our Cafe who pride themselves on theirability to deliver extraordinary levels of customer service andprovide creative solutions to ourguests.
Position Title: Chefde Partie (Pastry)
Department:Kitchen
Reports To: PastrySous Chef or Head Pastry Chef
JobSummary:
As a Chef de Partie (Pastry)you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the pastrysection within the kitchen. Working closely with the Pastry SousChef or Head Pastry Chef you will contribute to the creation andexecution of highquality pastry dishes desserts and baked goods.Your role involves leading a team of commis chefs and ensuring thesmooth and efficient operation of the pastrykitchen.
KeyResponsibilities:
Productionof Pastry Items:
- Prepareand produce a variety of pastry items desserts and baked goodsaccording to the established recipes and standards.
- Ensure consistency and quality in all pastryproducts.
- Monitor inventory levels andcoordinate with the Sous Chef or Head Chef to place ingredientorders as needed.
TeamLeadership:
- Supervise andtrain a team of commis chefs ensuring they adhere to kitchenpolicies and standards.
- Foster a positive andcollaborative working environment within the pastrysection.
- Lead by example demonstratingexcellent culinary skills andprofessionalism.
MenuDevelopment:
- Collaboratewith the Sous Chef or Head Chef in developing new pastry menuitems.
- Contribute creative ideas andsuggestions for dessert and pastry offerings.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporateinnovative techniques into themenu.
QualityControl:
- Conduct regulartastings and inspections to ensure the quality and presentation ofall pastry items.
- Address any issues promptlyand make adjustments to maintain highstandards.
KitchenOrganization:
- Organize andmaintain a clean efficient and wellstocked pastrykitchen.
- Implement proper storage and labelingprocedures for ingredients and finished products.
- Monitor equipment and report any maintenance or repairneeds.
- Adherence to Health and SafetyStandards:
- Follow and enforce health andsafety guidelines including food safety and sanitationpractices.
- Ensure compliance with local healthdepartmentregulations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Chef de Partie in apastry kitchen.
- Culinary degree or relevantcertification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge ofpastry techniques ingredients and trends.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent organizational and communicationskills.
- Ability to work in a fastpacedenvironment and handle pressureeffectively..
