Job Purpose:

In the engineering department, the Civil Engineer provides technical support, inspections, maintenance, civil and structural reviews, and strategic solutions to enhance and elevate plant safety, reliability, and maintainability. This entails reviewing and implementing CAPEX Projects, developing civil Maintenance Strategy, and overseeing other reliability initiatives like DE, RCA, and LFI. Providing technical support and guidance to R&M personnel is a pivotal aspect of this role.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Assessing concrete and steel structures and foundations exposed to harsh environmental conditions and chemical substances
  • Conducting concrete assessments in environments exposed to chlorides
  • Compiling inspection reports for concrete and steel structures supporting industrial equipment
  • Creating a Preventive Maintenance program for civil equipment structures and foundations
  • Conducting and evaluating soil settlement surveys and devising mitigation strategies
  • Developing repair methodologies for corroded steel structures
  • Defining deep excavation and excavation support scope of work
  • Establishing standard maintenance procedures and repair methodologies for civil equipment foundations and structures
  • Developing scope of work for safeguarding underground utilities during heavy lifting operations
  • Performing engineering analysis of structures for temporary support and load capacity evaluation
  • Evaluating seawater structures both above and below ground level
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

8+ years' experience as a Civil Engineer in the petrochemical industry
