Job description

  • By using IKEA Revit software program, library and templates, complete the commercial planning and compilation package within the set timeframe for the assigned area.
  • Actively participate in startup meeting and checkpoint meetings by presenting and discussing racking and IMS equipment solutions.
  • Transfer Racking knowhow and safety to IKEA coworkers in all units.
  • Ensure a timely, qualitative and consistent implementation of all relevant store media racking during the commercial buildup period.
  • Contribute to the content of the department action plan with initiatives that will grow the business and support longterm profitability and execute the agreed plans together with the Com&In team and other functions.
  • Keep in mind Safety when working on any buildup or rebuilds.
  • Ensure planning, delivering and executing of all commercial planning racking for media's /Areas of new store/units on time with quality.
  • Secure the concept & IKEA brand by using IMS racking equipment in all IKEA stores & units.
  • Ensure all racking orders are estimated correctly & as per the Commercial planning needs & media selection are accurately according to CRS solutions & IKEA specifications.
  • Secure all projects IMS racking & equipment are within the budget estimation.
  • Enhance the shopping experience by using new relevant and inspiring range presentation through IMS racking & equipment.
  • Develop a Country Racking Strategy & follow up with the IKEA units.
  • Have full inventory for all remaining racking after each project and hand over the area clean and organized.
  • Manage to send all left over racking that is not needed from each project to the agreed area.
  • Agree on the disturbing of the extra racking to other IKEA units with full inventory and complete list.

Qualification

  • Diploma or Bachelor degree in design related field.
  • Retail and/or home furnishing experience.
  • Experience of working as an interior design in an IKEA store "preference ".
  • Experience of working in a retail project planning and implementing.
  • Excellent spoken & written English
  • Ability to work in a fast retail environment.
  • Computer proficient with knowledge and experience of using relevant software (e.g. AutoCad, Revit).

More Information

  • Travel to new cities is required for the projects at least for 3 to 4 months for or according to unit size.
  • Working outdoor in a dusty air during the start of the project.
  • Working extra hours and oncall duties.
