Position Overview: The Head of Quality is a pivotal role responsible for spearheading the development and execution of a robust quality framework, compliance standards, and continuous improvement programs within our organization. This role is instrumental in ensuring the delivery of effective service quality, governance, and compliance standards across all programs and departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement continuous improvement programs aimed at delivering measurable business enhancements.
  • Establish and maintain quality and compliance regimes aligned with industry best practices and tailored to meet the specific requirements of our organization.
  • Oversee the successful achievement of all quality standards, audits, and accreditations, actively managing any non-conformances.
  • Lead the identification, design, and implementation of continuous improvement tools, fostering positive behavioral change and sustainable business improvements.
  • Embed appropriate quality and compliance governance measures, ensuring effective reporting and oversight of risks to country leadership.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and inspiration to drive effective continuous improvement, compliance, and risk management across the organization.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to prioritize improvement strategies using structured continuous improvement and process management approaches.
  • Review and analyze compliance and reporting trends, developing innovative solutions to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Work collaboratively to deliver end-to-end business process improvements, fostering a 'right first time' ethos.
  • Plan and prioritize complex workstreams, ensuring outcomes are achievable, sustainable, and quantifiable.
  • Take clear ownership of business improvement workstreams, ensuring services are highly regarded across the organization.
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement a robust Quality Management System (QMS), such as ISO 9001.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of best-in-class practices, acting as a subject matter expert across all business improvement, compliance, and risk management areas.
  • Lead risk management for all programs, presenting risk registers to country and global executive leadership teams.
  • Oversee business continuity planning and incident management regimes, aligning measures across all entities and applying appropriate testing regimes.
  • Oversee the implementation of new initiatives, ensuring alignment with quality and compliance standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with different departments, across different time zones, within an international corporation.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, including commissioners and government departments.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience implementing Quality Management Systems and driving tangible performance improvements.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering effective compliance regimes in geographically dispersed operational environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a Quality Management major preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' direct management experience running a quality team or department within a demand-led business environment, with a background in process design, auditing, and continuous improvement.
  • Full professional proficiency in English and Arabic.
  • Experience/knowledge of working on government-funded programs desirable.
  • Track record of managing teams to deliver high performance.
  • Previous experience in process redesign and familiarity with methodologies such as Six Sigma or Kaizen advantageous.
  • Knowledge of external audit and inspection requirements related to ISO 9001, SASO, and other qualification bodies.
  • Experience conducting audits to support the maintenance and achievement of accreditations such as ISO and SASO.
