OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
The Mineral Resource Evaluation Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of mineral resources at the group level. Undertake, coordinate, and execute all mineral resource models and grade control models. Ensuring timely delivery of resource models in accordance with industry accepted standards. Provide technical support to site-based teams in the aspect of modelling and strategic drillhole planning.

The role involves ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, implementing best practices for mineral resource evaluation, and collaborating with key stakeholders across the organization to drive operational excellence and maximize value from mineral resources.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

Qualification:

  • Bachelors of Geological Engineering or Geology or Earth Sciences Major (Specific discipline) + Minimum of 12 years' experience in Gold mining and Exploration of which 10 years in resource estimation
  • Advanced degree in Geostatistics an advantage

Experience:

1. 12 years relevant experience in mining or exploration with minimum of 10 years in resource estimation

Skills:

  • Advanced skills in Geological Modelling, Mineral Resource Evaluations, Open pit and Underground ore accounting and tracking, Mine to Mill Reconciliations, Geostatistical Analysis and Report Writing, Regulatory Compliance
  • Skills in Geological Budget Preparation and Management of exploration programs
  • Advanced skills in strategic drillhole planning
  • Knowledge of Mine Safety Regulations and Industry Best practices.

Excellent Computer skills in:
Datamine Mining Software, Snowden supervisor, Surpac, Leapfrog and MS Office Software package.

  • Provide technical guidance to the site geological team in executing grade control models.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to mineral resource management and geological activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to identify opportunities for operational excellence related to mineral resource management.
  • Analyze geological data and market trends to provide input into the company's longterm strategic planning and decisionmaking processes.
