We have a fantastic opportunity for a
Head of Project Risk to work on a major project. Please note, this role is open to
Saudi Nationals Only.


The Head of Project Risk will lead the identification, management, and ownership of risk within the project to actively reduce risk exposure and ensure the successful delivery of the project.


You will:

  • Formulate, agree, and communicate risk and/or compliance standards and strategies and monitor and oversee their implementation throughout the project life cycle.
  • Organise and lead risk workshops with delivery team leads.
  • Own and manage a risk register and forward programme of risk management, and ensure that this is maintained with input from relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with external stakeholders where necessary to promote the joint evaluation of risks with consultants, contractors and suppliers to establish a basis for identification, mitigation, transfer, risk sharing and management.
  • Work across all of the project to provide critical specialist expertise in risk management and provide support and challenge as required.
  • Lead a small team of specialists to influence a large number of stakeholders throughout the organisation; provide guidance, support and mentoring where required.
  • Interface and coordinate with the Stakeholder Manager, Commercial & Change Manager to identify changes to be notified.

Here's What You'll Need:

  • BS degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
  • Discipline specific professional registration preferred (CIBSE, ICE, etc)
  • Track record of success in a project risk management role within large scale, complex infrastructure projects
  • Proven technical ability in risk management and risk management approaches, with a sound commercial understanding of largescale construction projects, preferably with a Risk Management qualification
  • Support project teams in estimating the quantitative cost and schedule impacts of risks for Monte Carlo modelling
  • Able to explain the results of risk assessments to nonspecialists
  • Competent with Excel
  • Proactive and decisive
  • Flexible to changing requirements
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Ability to motivate and impart knowledge
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills at all levels, with the ability to tactfully challenge existing procedures to support best practice risk management.
