Summary of the role
The procurement role is responsible for routine sourcing and purchasing material to facilitate projects completion.

Task and Responsibilities

  • Seeking reliable vendors or suppliers to provide quality goods at reasonable prices
  • Building a network of reliable vendors and service providers, negotiating the best contracts
  • Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases SAP platform.
  • Reviewing technical specifications, quality, payment term & condition applied before purchase of goods
  • Liaising with delivery and store to ensure goods are received on time.
  • Updating all records of purchased products
  • Conducting research on potential products, vendors, and services, and comparing price and quality to ensure the best deal.
  • Coordinating with shipping agencies and sellers to ensure timely deliveries and oversee the integrity and quality of delivered goods and services.
  • Assist where needed, administrative tasks, record keeping on behalf of the team and liasing with the GRO for successful completion of tasks.
  • Minimal 1 year experience in relevant position at marine of offshore industries
  • Must be fluent in English (oral and written)
  • Able to communicate effectively in English
  • Fluency in computers and software such as Microsoft Office suite
  • Able to work well in a team
  • Good network/ relations with local suppliers/vendors of marine material and products
  • Having good negotiation skill & product knowledge
