Context

Located within Jubail Industrial City 2, and more precisely in PlasChem Park, lot 13. Design, built as per RCJY and Veolia standards (the highest prevail). Operated and maintained as per RCJY and Veolia standards (the highest prevail). Tahwil is a hazardous waste incineration facility that will receive and incinerate waste from all Jubail industries according to the environmental regulations of Royal Commission of Jubail and Yanbu. At full operation, Tahwil will treat circa to 121,000 Tons per year of waste.

Job Description

Main Accountablities:

The Sales & Marketing Manager will build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships related to Tahwil facility, and be responsible for the day to day management of Tahwil's sales and marketing team.

He/She will also contribute to the development of the industrial sector business in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Job Description Details:

  • Liaison between the customer and the plant management to ensure successful treatment of customer wastes.
  • Coordinate with customers to secure any necessary sampling and analysis of waste for its proper management.
  • Coordinate with plant management to manage and optimize the planning waste deliveries from customers, in relation to storage capacities/levels, plant operational needs (type/volumes of waste) restrictions and business targets.
  • Ensure full compliance of the Pre-Acceptance procedure. Understand customers' waste profiles, manifests, bills-of-lading, etc.
  • Represents Veolia in customers discussions in regards the waste generation or acceptability.
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Organize the reporting (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) and set-up key-performance
  • Plan and prepare presentations
  • Write reports & provide management with feedback.
  • Understand and resolve complex technical, strategic and business issues.
  • Arrange all post bid reviews with customers, post contract awards.
  • Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
  • Anticipate change in law and regulation and try to influence stakeholders for having enforcement and stronger regulation
  • Lead marketing activities, including trade / scientific shows, mailings, etc.
  • Locate or propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities and meeting budget and long term targets.
  • Engage existing potential hazardous waste customers to secure mid-term binding agreements on significant waste stream volumes to ensure sustainable running of the facility and maximize throughput.
  • Prepare the written proposal - both in terms of content and presentation for tenders, unsolicited offers, any other process.
  • Prepare the executive summary and reviews the commercial aspects of the bid, ensuring all services are included in the final price to the customer.
  • Proactively organize and maintain the Business Development databases through SalesForce.
  • Communicate new product developments to prospective clients.

  • Manage recruitment and training of the Salesmen/Women and Assistantsrovide the necessary feedback to the management allowing them to effectively take the business decisions.
  • Define and give targets to his team and monitor closely the performance of the staff

  • Manage actions ensuring the planning and allocation of all resources and implementation of appropriate standards.
  • Manage different actors (internal and external), ensuring proposals are delivered on time.
  • Manage the business from A-Z (upstream to contract negotiation, mobilization and transfer to operations).
  • Contribute proactively to the coordination of activities with the other departments of Tahwil on continuous basis

Customer Relations:

  • Represent the company at regular meetings with the client and other authorities.
  • Develop a pro-active working relationship with all authorities and assists in establishing areas for service improvement.
  • Manage customers' expectations through clear communication and transparent work attitude.
  • Develop, implement and monitor business procedures, maintain a record of each operation and ensure that these are integral and based on the overall company modus operandi.

HSEEQ:

  • Abide by the Health, Safety, Energy, Environmental and Quality, (HSEEQ) policy, procedures necessary for the good conduct and safety of the workplace and by local legislation.

Compliance

  • Particular obligation of high standards and exemplarity following the Veolia Compliance Guidelines.

Qualifications
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering / Industrial Chemistry or related field
  • 6-10 years of demonstrated business process development experience.
  • Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience (Hazardous Waste/Waste)
  • Must be comfortable working at CEO / Director Level (internal and external customer).
  • Ability to clarify goals and reach agreement maintaining the interests of all parties
  • Ability to discuss strategic and sensitive issues
  • Understands clients' needs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment
  • KSA market knowledge

Other relevant information:

Valid KSA Driving License

English - Arabic spoken and written

IT/software: user level of both Microsoft 365 and Chrome OS will be required
