We are a high-end restaurant and hospitality business, dedicated to providing exceptional dining experiences and hospitality services.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accountant who is fluent in Arabic and has a background in the restaurant and hospitality industry to join our finance team.


Responsibilities:

Accounting Oversight: Oversee all core accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury operations, general ledger, tax compliance, payroll, and fixed asset management.

Financial Reporting: Lead the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant regulations.

Cost Accounting: Develop, implement, and manage restaurant-specific cost analysis models and inventory control reporting to ensure accurate food costing and operational efficiency.

Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights to management on sales trends, profitability, cost structures, and potential areas of improvement.

Internal Controls: Develop, document, and maintain robust internal control systems to ensure financial data integrity, safeguard assets, and prevent fraud.

Audits: Collaborate closely with internal and external auditors, providing data and analysis to facilitate smooth and successful audit processes.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, working with operational leaders to ensure alignment between strategic goals and financial allocations.

Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 710 years of progressive accounting experience, with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience within the restaurant or hospitality industry is highly advantageous.
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP, restaurantspecific accounting principles, and financial reporting standards. Proficient in accounting software systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to nonfinance stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership abilities with the capacity to mentor and motivate a team.
