Originally built as a TCP multiplexer, NetScaler was born in the early days of the internet to help giants of the web scale their application performance and accelerate their content delivery. Through efficient connection management, NetScaler dramatically reduced back-end server requirements. This efficiency reduced total cost of ownership for some of the largest internet companies at the time — most of whom remain NetScaler customers to this day.

The acquisition of NetScaler by a Cloud Software Group gives us the opportunity to focus on doing what's best for our customers. We plan to invest more into NetScaler, which includes enhancing the integration with Citrix VDI and DaaS solutions as well as continuing to develop the functionality that our traditional NetScaler customers need to modernize their IT. Working as part of a broader team of NetScaler Sales Engineers across Emerging Markets, your role will be to support the NetScaler growth in your territory providing an overlay of support to both the local account teams as well as the NetScaler Sales Specialist.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

Be the Lead Sales Engineer for the region in support of the sales efforts for Citrix NetScaler solutions, through:

Creating and delivering technical product demonstrations, presentations, and network designs and support Participating in consultations and/or product capability assessments with prospects Creating formal relationships with key decision makers and serving as external spokesperson for Citrix Develop and maintain a broad knowledge of intelligent application switching issues and trends as they relate to Citrix NetScaler solutions. Working on issues that impact design/selling success or address proof of concepts, products or technologies Provides a role within the sales teams in assessing potential application of Citrix products to meet customer's business needs. Leverages Business Value and/or Consultative sales process' toward prospective users to determine product capability assessment and validation as it applies to the technical sales process. Drive the sales process in partnership with the Account Executive and/or Sales Specialist, by identifying the Technical Decision Maker, getting their technical validation, support, and sponsorship Ability to present and communicate at an executive level to both customers and prospects alike to articulate the value proposition and help them understand Citrix innovation and strategy. Gathering technical requirements from customers and aligning those to Citrix solutions, and managing both technical and competitive objections. Has ability to build and manage complex, multi-product proof of concept solutions for customer evaluations as part of a sales engagement process. Positively influences and willingly contributor sales opportunities beyond their own territory assignment. Work collaboratively with internal technical and sales resources, share best practices, updates, offer and seek expertise as the need arises in various opportunities.

What you'll bring

Technical Experience in AWS/GCP/Azure cloud and related services In-depth experience and knowledge of security threats, malware; ransomware; DLP; web applications firewall, on-prem & cloud-based security technologies (DDoS; WAF; API; BOT; FW; CASB) Practical knowledge of web application frameworks and development technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, XML and JSON. Experience with modern applications containerization CI/CD DevOps and relevant platforms i.e., micro-services; Docker and Kubernetes, Automation technology understanding Experience/familiarity with service mesh control plane/data plane solutions Citrix App Delivery & Security core product experience or relevant experience in key competitor offerings required In-depth industry knowledge and understanding of Citrix type technologies, solutions and product offerings strongly preferred Advanced written and oral communication & presentation skills Commercially astute, understand sales cycles and sales processes BA/BS degree(s) or equivalent experience

Experience/Skills

5+ years pre-sales experience in a high tech Strong understanding of business processes and their implementation into enterprise applications Analytical and negotiation skills, particularly at the C-level Ability to work independently and in a strong team environment, and to deliver on detail as well as strategy Excellent oral and written communications skills, as well as excellent presentation skills Possesses a high level of specialised sales and product solution knowledge

Requirements (Education, Certification, Training, And Experience)

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Ability to travel within assigned territory Requires broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education. The following certifications (or equivalent) are beneficial but not required: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification, CCDP or similar vendor certification, Citrix Certified Associate – Networking (CCA-N), Citrix Certified Professional – Networking (CCP-N); AWS; MS Azure; Google Cloud Platform; CISSP; Pre-sales consulting experience is required in any of these technology areas: Routers and Switches/ Core Networking, Load Balancers, Security (Web, Email, Content, Firewalls), Data Center (Storage Virtualization, Virtual Switching) Demonstrated efficiency in system integration i.e., Automation tools. Ability to troubleshoot complex network environments. Understanding of bandwidth management and quality of service concepts
