As a Project Controls Lead, your role will be to support the various project management teams in developing, monitoring and updating project governance including standard Project Plans of Work, Project Implementation Plans, Construction Supervision Plans; controls; plans and schedules, forecast project costs, and provide analyses to support claims negotiations; assist with monthly and quarterly reports either of financial nature, progress related or both; set-up project document / correspondence registers; track project progress KPI's and risk register.

Key responsibilities and duties are listed, but not limited to, the below:

  • Capture cost and schedule baseline.
  • Prepare monthly cost presentations to senior management.
  • Produce weekly and monthly financial progress report.
  • Manage, update and balance costs on a monthly basis.
  • Produce and update project financial tracker.
  • Review and approval of monthly internal agreements between various decision costs
  • Compile, analyse and report on labour actuals and trends against current budgets.
  • Forecast, report, and flag for senior management budget reallocation needs.
  • Provide guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of coding, timesheet issues or other project controlsrelated items.
  • Forecast future labour effort needs, in coordination with senior management and cost account managers.
  • Incorporate procedures and processes within Mott MacDonald internal standards and systems.
  • Prepare invoices with costs, hours and disbursement backup for clients.
  • Implement Project governance including standard Project Plans of Work, Project Implementation Plans, Construction Supervision Plans.
  • Implement project controls; plans and schedules, forecast project costs, and provide analyses to support claims negotiations; assist with monthly and quarterly reports either of financial nature, progress related or both; setup project document / correspondence registers; track project progress KPI's and risk register.
  • Control and manage a Project Control team to ensure standardization across of Project governance across all projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field
  • Prior experience of working within a project controls and management capacity
  • Advanced knowledge of P6, Powerpoint, Excel, data manipulation and spreadsheet design to communicate results.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and manage deadline.
  • Strong organization skills
  • A team player but able to operate as a single contributor.
