About the role:

  • Based in Fragomen's Riyadh office, the Marketing and Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the marketing and business development strategy for Fragomen's Middle East practice. In response to continued growth, this role will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives that strengthen our presence in the Middle East, and drive client and business development for the region and the wider firm.
  • As Marketing and Business Development Manager for the Middle East practice, you will:
  • Develop a strong understanding of Fragomen's Middle East practice and market, and the key focus areas, services, and priorities in line with the regional business development plan.
  • Work with the Middle East Partners and teams in Fragomen's offices across the region to drive forward growth and profile-raising opportunities. Supported by the Middle East Marketing and Business Development Executive, based in Dubai.
  • Lead partnerships with key organisations and networking groups that represent strong potential for business development; attend meetings and nurture relationships.
  • Work with the broader MARBD team on effective client acquisition, client focus and client retention strategies.
  • Help support the development of pitch responses, presentations and business review documents.
  • Coach Partners and teams on effective BD tactics and work alongside them to drive BD opportunities.
  • Track and maintain live opportunities in our CRM system.
  • Strategise with the events team to identify key clients and targets for virtual and in-person events and help ensure effective execution and follow-up.
  • Identify key trends and topics for marketing campaigns and collaborate closely with the Comms/PR/social media team to drive and support profile-raising and visibility.
  • Collaborate closely with Fragomen's Communications & Public Relations Director and develop and maintain relationships with approved media outlets in the Middle East.
  • Monitor industry, client and competitor news and information, including key contacts.
  • Manage and mentor Fragomen's Middle East Marketing and Business Development Executive, based in Dubai.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues across the region and wider firm to identify and promote opportunities for collaboration and continuous improvement.

What we are looking for:

  • At least five years of relevant professional experience in marketing and business development, preferably gained within a professional services environment.
  • An indepth understanding of the regional market, culture and mindset.
  • Excellent written and oral English communication skills, including strong writing and editing skills for drafting concise and polished communications. Additional language skills are desirable, particularly Arabic.
  • Proven track record of dealing with and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a broader collaborative team.
  • A cando, proactive attitude and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and pivot, as necessary, in an environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working across multiple cultures and time zones.
  • Knowledge of immigration and global mobility space a plus.
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of SalesForce, InterAction or other CRM programs advantageous.

About the team:


The role will work closely with the Middle East Marketing and Business Development Executive, EMEA-based Marketing and Business Development team, Middle East Partners and other immigration and mobility service professionals, as well as the wider Marketing and Business Development team across the Fragomen global network.

Globally, the marketing and business development function is made up of nearly 50 professionals covering the full range of strategic marketing and business development support for the firm and promoting exceptional client service.

Within the Middle East region we have offices in United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia with an overall headcount of 200 employees.
