Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a lead Engineer – Reporting (Power BI) responsible for designing, developing, and implementing advanced reporting solutions to support the construction of a large-scale oceanarium. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, construction teams, and executive leadership to provide insightful data visualizations and reporting that drive decision-making and project success.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Lead the development of Power BI dashboards and reports to provide real-time insights into project progress, budget tracking, resource allocation, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reporting platforms.
  • Work closely with project managers, construction teams, and client to understand reporting needs and deliver customized solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and provide training on Power BI tools and dashboards.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for all Power BI-related inquiries and support requests.
  • Design and implement data models, DAX calculations, and ETL processes to support robust and scalable reporting solutions.
  • Optimize Power BI reports for performance and usability, ensuring fast load times and responsive visualizations.
  • Integrate data from multiple sources, including construction management software, financial systems, and other enterprise applications.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process optimization to improve reporting efficiency and effectiveness.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 18 years of experience in engineering and reporting development, with a proven track record of delivering complex reporting solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query,
  • Experience with construction management software and familiarity with construction industry data is highly desirable.
