WSP Middle East are currently looking for a Graduate Health & Safety Engineer to be based in KSA.

Your new role, what's involved?
-
Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify potential health and safety hazards in the workplace, including chemical, biological, physical, and ergonomic hazards.

Safety Inspections: Perform regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and work processes to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
-
Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, near misses, and incidents to determine root causes and develop preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
-
Safety Training: Assist in the development and delivery of safety training programs for employees to increase awareness and promote safe work practices.

Safety Policies and Procedures: Review and update safety policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Emergency Response Planning: Participate in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and procedures to effectively respond to workplace emergencies.

Safety Data Analysis: Analyze safety data, including injury and illness records, near miss reports, and safety performance metrics, to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Safety Culture Promotion: Promote a positive safety culture within the organization by encouraging employee participation, recognition of safety achievements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with health and safety regulations and standards relevant to the industry and ensure organizational compliance.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, managers, and health professionals, to address safety-related issues and implement effective solutions.

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Health and Safety.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
  • Relevant internships or coop experiences in health and safety engineering is a plus.
