We are currently looking for a
Technical Lead - Building Design with a minimum of 15 years' experience to assist the Executive Project Leadership team in the management of a Mega project in Riyadh, KSA.

The Technical Lead is accountable for the overall Project for the assigned asset.

Their primary role is to ensure that everything is coordinated, delivered on time, within budget, and meet the Client's scope requirements.

They work closely and lead the multii-disciplinary project team (asset) to establish project objectives, manage scope and change, developing project plans, and coordinating activities between different teams to achieve the project goals.


The Technical Lead also manages the project budget, including the allocation of resources, and monitors project progress to ensure that milestones are met.

They will have the ability to liaise diectly with Clients to manage their expectations, build relationships, and ensure that the project aligns with the Client's needs.


In addition to these responsibilities, the Technical Lead manages project risk, develops contingency plans, and ensures that health and safety standards are adhered to.

They are responsible for managing project documentation in a common data environment, ensuring that projects are compliant with regulatory requirements, and maintaining Atkins' project management methodology

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Accountable for the endtoend leadership, management and delivery of all aspects of this project. This includes project management, timeliness, quality, risk management, project financial performance and scope management of the projects, in line with the Atkins methodology.
  • Accountable for successful close out of commercial fee and contractual negotiations with the Client and their representative.
  • Accountable for the establishment of the project, including resourcing from Delivery Centres and Offices, project set up, work breakdown structure, program development, milestone establishment, scope changes and variations
  • Demonstrate care about the wellbeing of themselves and others, through actively participating in and driving OHS activities.
  • Build and lead whole project delivery team, secure required resources.
  • Ensure project delivery activity is in line with Company standards and client expectations
  • Ensure effective closeout and debrief occurs with Client, Client Relationship Executive, People Manager and Project Leader

Technical Management:

  • Offer strategic guidance on the establishment of Technical Design standards, and philosophy.
  • Planning and directing, collaborating and communicating with the relevant technical design and master planning consultants.
  • Establish communication paths to resolve possible design issues, provide guidance and align with the project requirements.
  • Controlmonitorprovidetechnical support on every design stage of programs.

Financial Management***- Accountable for the P/L of the project

  • Have an excellent understanding of Risk and the need to use their commercial acumen
  • Review and submit monthly Project Status Reports
  • Review Project budget at the start of the project.
  • Conduct Monthly Financial Review with the team and present to Senior Management

Client Management

  • Manage contract matters with Client
  • Escalate issues in a timely manner to the Project Review Board.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in engineering or architecture from a reputed institution.
  • Proven experience in leading on large multidisciplinary projects or running a programme of works, in design or construction environment.
  • Iconic or landmark project deliveries to be specifically highlighted in CV.
  • Experience of leading a business and having responsibility for a P&L account.
  • Proven success in the delivery of large capital projects within scope, time and budget
  • Ability to influence for results.
  • Experience in the planning, managing and successfully delivering on projects involving numerous stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership skills and proven ability to build, lead, organize, motivate and direct large multinational organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with clients, team members, and senior management.
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Thorough understand of local standards, Approving Authority processes.
  • Be resilient with a "can do" attitude and able to work under pressure.
  • Be collaborative and able to work across regional and business boundaries.
  • Be an inspiration leader and set standards by example, to motivate the project team.
  • Be focused on delivering to agree objectives and standards.
  • Assert independent views and challenge when appropriate.
  • Willing to challenge the status quo.
