Regional Sales Manager

Job Summary
The Regional Sales Manager plays a vital role in driving sales growth, managing a sales team of sales engineers, and ensuring customer satisfaction within the assigned region. This position involves leading a team of sales engineers, setting sales targets, developing sales strategies, and fostering strong customer relationships with customers to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Management and Strategy:
• Lead a sales POD consisting of a sales engineer, and PSSRs (Parts Sales and Service Representative)
• Develop and execute a sales strategy aligned with company objectives and market conditions.
• Set sales targets, monitor performance, and implement corrective measures to achieve sales goals.
• Regularly assess sales performance, identify areas for improvement, and propose strategies for increasing sales revenue.
• Generate leads, identify prospects, and actively pursue new business opportunities.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Contribute to the POD sales budgeting process, including sales costs and revenue forecasts.
• Collaborate with the sales team and other stakeholders to prepare accurate sales forecasts for equipment and spare parts.
• Monitor and control POD sales expenses to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
3. Training and Development:
• Coordinate with suppliers to receive product training and updates on new products and features.
• Ensure that the sales team is equipped with the necessary product knowledge to effectively promote and sell equipment and spare parts.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and professional development opportunities to enhance the skills and capabilities of the sales team.
4. Sales Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
• Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze sales data, and generate comprehensive sales reports.
• Identify areas of improvement and implement strategies to overcome challenges and achieve sales targets.
• Present sales reports and updates to senior management and stakeholders.
5. Business Development:
• Generate leads, identify potential customers, and actively pursue business development opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong business relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing appropriate solutions.
• Conduct market research, analyze competitor activities, and propose strategies to increase market share.
6. Customer Satisfaction and Relationship Management:
• Ensure exceptional customer service and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Establish and nurture long-term business relationships with clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly.
• Provide timely resolution for client complaints, working closely with relevant departments to address and resolve issues.
• Continuously seek opportunities to enhance client satisfaction and exceed customer expectations.
Skills
Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• Proven experience in sales management, preferably in the equipment or manufacturing industry.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales management, preferably in the equipment or manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of sales techniques, strategies, and business development principles.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a sales team.
• Sound understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze sales data and identify trends and opportunities.
• Customer-centric approach with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
• Results-driven attitude with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using sales management software and CRM systems.
