About the Role:

The Operations team is responsible for bringing Uber's vision to life in our local markets. Day to day, they are responsible for both strategy creation and execution for our Driver and Rider focused activities.

Operations is all about running our business on the ground and helping our driver partners and riders get the most out of the Uber platform.


We are looking for a strong problem-solver with strong analytical skills to lead our Marketplace Operations across in Saudi Arabia.

This person will work with others at Uber to grow and optimize Uber's Marketplace and balance the needs of partner drivers and riders.


You will be responsible for developing strategies, such as how we balance our marketplace, target and deploy customer promotions, manage our core product portfolio, and identify and solve operational weaknesses.

You will also need to balance improving and creating new processes with setting and delivering on goals to meet business needs.


What you will do:

  • Drive marketplace operations in KSA by utilizing data to understand both marketplace dynamics and driver/rider behavior to identify areas for improvement and drive important decisions
  • Develop analyses and think out of the box to quickly innovate new processes, improve on existing processes and resolve issues
  • Develop & optimize processes by taking big picture ideas and break them into actionable steps
  • Identify, implement, communicate and improve internal and marketfacing initiatives including the launch of new product offerings
  • Develop dashboards, analytical framework and present findings that allow for the swift detection of issues as they arise and support the company in decisionmaking
  • Work with local, regional and global teams to resolve critical problems impacting the business and ensure that insights inform broader strategic initiatives

What you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience preferably in operations management, management consulting, investment banking and / or start ups
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Engineering or similar field.
  • Demonstrated sound business judgment with previous experience using data to drive business decisions
  • Experience leading initiatives and projects in previous roles
  • Have worked in a fast paced growing environment with ownership mentality
  • SQL Proficiency is a plus
