- Role Responsibilities:
- Provide oversight, guidance and subject matter expertise to technology, project and business teams.
- Engage product and business owners to ensure they understand and deliver security requirements, comply with audit expectations and support risk remediation activities.
- Identify and implement controls throughout each stage of product development and enterprise change.
- Manage security risks through mitigation and oversight.
- Offer training and mentoring to team members along with technical workshops for key stakeholders within the technology and security teams.
- Conduct awareness activities to enhance the security culture within the organization.
- Review application security scans and provide remediation advice to product owners and developers.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and coverage of security products and tools for continuous monitoring and protection of company assets.
- Assist in ISO27001, PCI DSS and other relevant audit programmes.
- Contribute to the enhancement of security policies and standards.
- Support clients with security-related queries.
Key Tasks:
- Collaborate with project and product teams to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
- Perform security assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate risks.
- Drive initiatives such as vulnerability assessment and penetration testing workstreams with technology and security teams.
- Enhance technical processes to establish efficient and secure methodologies.
- Manage and investigate security events, including post-incident reviews in partnership with other security teams.
Impact You'll Make:
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Development background in Java or Dot Net.
- Proficiency in security/SAS tools, static application.
- Experience in manual and automatic code reviews.
- CISSP qualification or similar, OSCP, GWAPT experience would be beneficial.
- Proven track record in an IT Security role.
- Comprehensive understanding of technical security risk, threat, and vulnerability management.
- Capability to manage workload effectively, identifying risks and requirements, and adaptability to work flexibly when necessary.
- Openness to learning and engaging in formal and informal training as needed.
