- The ideal candidate must be in possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance related qualification SAQA NQF7.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in financial management with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting, 3 years of which should be within the public sector.
- A Valid Driver's License.
- A Postgraduate Diploma in Account- ing/Finance SAQA NQF8
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
The successful candidate must have
- Good understanding of General ledger reconciliations.
- Practical knowledge of the
- PFMA as well as Treasury regulations.
- Knowledge and use of accounting software such as Sage, Pastel, etc.
- Knowledge of Generally Recognised Accounting Principles GRAP.
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards IFRS.
- Knowledge International Accounting Standards.
- Experience implementing financial controls and compiling financial reports.
- Understanding of SCM processes
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial Accounting Management.
- Banking and cash management and reconciliation.
- Financial Reporting and Asset Management.
- Transaction Processing/ Systems/ Controls.
- Assist with budget management.
- Review payments in preparation for processing.
- Assist with payroll review and reconciliations.
