VP & Head of Assets Product (Saudization)

Job Purpose:

To develop, execute, and manage Personal Loan & Home Finance (HF) Products Business plan and portfolio, taking into account the market opportunity/growth potential, competitor activity, existing capabilities, and risk appetite, aiming for market dominance and achieving operational control and service excellence, while remaining aligned with the overall KSA Personal Banking Strategy.

Key Accountability:

Strategy Formulation, Implementation and Planning

  • Support head of Personal Banking in the development, refinement, and execution of the KSA Product's strategy.
  • Develop new business opportunities and expansion plans for the KSA PF & HF portfolio; provide inputs for refinement as required, based on market trends, customer feedback, competitor profiling, etc. in order to ensure growth in the portfolio and continuous improvement and upgrades, thus maximizing Product revenues and contributing to its profitability targets.
  • Drive the development of full-fledged PL & HF business proposition leveraging digitization especially on distribution to capture growing opportunities.
  • Provide overall direction to channel/segment management, guiding the effective development and cascading of the PL & HF strategies and ensuring establishment of governance, compliance and regulatory relations to achieve target profitability, market share and asset growth targets whilst achieving operational excellence.

Product Management

  • Oversee the development and continuous enhancement of Personal loans (PL) and Home Finance (HF) products and services in order to exploit market opportunities, differentiate the bank's offering and meet/fit customer needs.
  • Manage the review and approval of the margin, pricing, risk and cost management of PL & HF products and continuously monitor profitability to ensure budget and profitability targets are met.
  • Direct and lead the provision of efficient and cost-effective product operations with a view to provide high levels of service, while minimizing the risk and cost.
  • Responsible for development and implementation of the marketing and sales plan for PL & HF products in line with overall KSA Marketing strategy while coordinating with sales team.
  • Responsible for handling the product marketing activities, launch, promotions, advertisements, etc. and provide approvals where necessary, in order to ensure creating a strong brand of Bank's products and increasing customer acquisition.
  • Coordinate with sales team on efforts to expand customer base, increase market share, improve cross selling and increase profitability as per set budget and strategy.

Risk & Compliance Management

  • Keep the KSA management team informed of any potential or occurred violation within operations of PL and HF products.

Overall Product Management

  • Maintain growth of the PL & HF client bases and the profitability of the KSA branch within the respective Product segment.
  • Oversee the coordination with other entities (e.g., support services) to ensure availability of required support infrastructure (e.g., operations).
  • Direct and lead the provision of efficient and cost-effective product operations with a view to provide high levels of service, while minimizing the risk and cost.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure effective achievement of strategic, financial and customer objectives for PL & HF products, in line with defined governance framework.
  • Provide Project management to manage and execute all aspects of products design, manual, implementation, processes, client interface and IT elements.
  • Increase KSA branch Market share in Personal loans (PL) and Home Finance (HF) business by offering Innovative products and Services and by identifying market growth opportunities.
  • Manage and improve Portfolio Profitability while delivering on an extremely challenging budget and ensure cost optimization.
  • Leverage partnerships including developers, brokers and dealers to build product benefits and alternate sourcing channels.
  • Work with credit to deliver best-in-class scoring and top-up processes for PL and HF.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, operating procedures, management restructuring and impact of new technology.
  • Direct the overall expansion of the PL & HF Portfolio to ensure the achievement of the revenue, profitability and productivity targets.

Reporting

  • Ensure that all PL & HF Business reports developed and disbursed in a timely manner and comply with applicable policies and standards.
  • Direct the preparation of periodical management reports and progress reports to keep the senior management informed about the progress of various initiatives and to facilitate decision-making.
  • Furnish MIS reports (in line with KPI's) on 'ad-hoc' and periodic basis to FAB KSA Management and to Regulator, where required.
  • Handle any additional tasks and duties assigned by KSA Head of Personal Banking.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing or Finance.
  • 10 years' relevant experience in the banking sector with at least 5 years in similar positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities in the personal function.
