Your Mission

As Project Controller in our Tractebel Middle East team, based in Riyadh, KSA, you will play a crucial role in ensuring financial excellence across our projects. You will work closely with project managers, finance teams, and key stakeholders to drive the financial performance of the region while ensuring compliance with group standards.

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the Finance Controller (FC) and CFO to integrate and align the finance organization in the Middle East with group standards, systems, and best practices.
  2. Provide support and constructive challenges to project managers to enhance project performance.
  3. Regularly review project status, comparing budgets with available estimates and ensuring accuracy.
  4. Consolidate and analyze monthly and quarterly financial statements, KPIs, and budgets across entities.
  5. Ensure the implementation and monitoring of financial reporting systems, project account codes, and timesheet processes.
  6. Take accountability for timely, qualitative statutory reporting and reconcile local financial statements with group reporting.
  7. Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely client invoicing in collaboration with the projects team.
  8. Analyze financial elements such as SG&A, working capital, CFFO, risks, opportunities, and foreign exchange impacts.
  9. Stay updated on new regulations, particularly regarding finance, accounting, and tax matters, and assess their impact on the organization.
  10. Contribute to compliance with Engie Tractebel group's finance and accounting policies across the Middle East.
  11. Support business development by ensuring accurate project accounting representation and integration within the region.
Your Qualifications
  1. A university degree or equivalent in accounting or finance.
  2. Additional certifications like CPA, CFA, ACCA, or an MBA are a strong plus.
Your Experience and Skills
  1. At least 4 years of experience in finance (e.g., business control, accounting, consolidation, internal audit).
  2. Experience in consulting is preferred.
  3. Proficiency in creating budgets and reports.
  4. Familiarity with complex, multicultural organizations.
  5. Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills; SAP knowledge is a significant advantage.
  6. Strong analytical reasoning and organizational skills.
  7. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  8. Proven ability to manage shifting priorities and perform under tight deadlines.
  9. Solid interpersonal and networking skills, coupled with creative problem-solving abilities.

  2. Languages: Fluent English is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic, French, or German is a plus.
  3. Location & Travel: Based in Riyadh, KSA, with occasional travel within the Middle East region as needed.
