Emperor's Dubai and Saudi offices are achieving exciting growth across the Middle East. Our team has tripled in size in a short space of time. With the addition of some substantial new accounts, and the opportunity to develop existing clients there is a requirement for more senior representation in the region to ensure that our existing clients, prospects and partners have the expertise and advice required.

We are looking for a talented freelance UX/UI Designer to join our team and play a critical role in shaping the user experience for our clients' websites and apps. The ideal candidate is passionate about design, exploring new opportunities, and leveraging research to drive informed decisions.

As a UX/UI Designer you'll be at the forefront of creating exceptional experiences for our clients. Working with clients and collaborating with cross-functional teams, you'll shape seamless user journeys and deliver beautiful design solutions that set new industry standards.

What you'll be doing

As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:

UX Design & Development

  1. Lead the design process from concept to final implementation, ensuring user interfaces are intuitive, elegant, efficient and aligned with business objectives.
  2. Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, ensuring designs are scalable and adaptable across various devices and platforms.
  3. Collaborate with our project team, developers, and stakeholders to define design requirements and ensure a cohesive user experience across the product suite.
  4. Think long-term when designing solutions, ensuring that all designs are scalable, adaptable across platforms, and suitable for users while maintaining a consistent, coherent and flexible user experience.

Exploration of New Opportunities

  1. Continuously iterate on designs based on user feedback, usability testing, and insights from cross-functional teams.
  2. Identify new opportunities for improving the user journey, enhancing engagement, and streamlining processes across the platform.
  3. Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to refine designs and ensure they deliver a seamless, optimized user experience.

Collaboration & Communication

  1. Communicate design concepts, rationale, and user flows effectively to internal teams, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  2. Work closely with clients and developers to ensure the design vision is accurately translated into functional products.
  3. Foster a collaborative environment with internal teams, sharing knowledge and insights to improve the overall development process.

Essential skills you'll bring to the table

  1. Proven experience (3+ years) as a UX/UI Designer within a creative agency.
  2. Strong proficiency in Figma (components, auto-layout, variables and prototyping).
  3. Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles, usability testing, and user research methods.
  4. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explore innovative solutions to enhance user experience.
  5. Ability to translate complex concepts into intuitive and visually appealing designs.
  6. Solid understanding of responsive design and how to adapt designs across different platforms (web, mobile, etc.).
  7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  8. Being very organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
