Job Description - Field Service Technician/Engineer - Cooling (0093UN)

Cooling Engineer specializing in Uniflair and APC cooling systems. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of various Schneider Electric cooling technologies and models.

Required Skills and Experience:

  1. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Schneider Electric cooling systems.
  2. Expertise in Uniflair and APC DX cooling models.
  3. Proficiency in chilled water systems and big chiller operations.
  4. In-depth knowledge of Inrow and Inroom cooling solutions.
  5. Strong understanding of HVAC principles and best practices.
  6. Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and blueprints.
  7. Experience in performing preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
  8. Familiarity with energy efficiency optimization in cooling systems.
  9. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Certifications:

Additional relevant certifications in industrial cooling systems are a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install, maintain, and repair Uniflair and APC DX model cooling systems.
  2. Manage and optimize chilled water systems and big chillers.
  3. Configure and maintain Inrow and Inroom cooling solutions.
  4. Conduct regular system inspections and preventive maintenance.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve complex cooling system issues.
  6. Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians.
  7. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve cooling efficiency.
  9. Stay updated on the latest cooling technologies and industry trends.
  10. Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance and repair activities.
  11. Perform Start-up/Commissioning on all APC-Uniflair equipment across the entire product line on single module and multi-module systems.
  12. Perform Preventive Maintenance on all APC-Uniflair equipment across the entire product line on single module and multi-module systems.
  13. Perform Unscheduled Maintenance on all APC and Uniflair equipment across the entire product line on single module and multi-module systems.
  14. Perform data center assembly services and basic DCIM configuration for cooling integration part.
  15. Perform basic Power Audits of customer's distribution systems, working with Sales to complete Availability Assessments.
  16. Document all required information for each site visit performed.
  17. Work with other team members to complete custom and large installation projects.
  18. Educate APC-MGE customers on basic operation of their equipment.
  19. Assist Service Partners- Secure Power during the site visits, evaluating technical and professional performance.
  20. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Certified on APC & Uniflair cooling
  • 3-5 years experience on APC & Uniflair cooling

High level of engineering knowledge of electronic/electrical component theory. Must be able to perform duties with general direction, receiving only general guidance with respect to overall objectives. Work is usually quite independent of other team members. Must operate within division policy guidelines using independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives. Must comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business procedures, professional documents, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc. Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, must be able to communicate effectively to various intellectual levels. 6 X 24/60hrs a week Field Service availability when assigned. Available to travel across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia when assigned.
