Area Sales Leader

The Area Sales Leader is responsible for the commercial development and the turnover realized in the defined area. This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The objective is to develop the commercial activity via different existing market segments and targeting new market segments. Marketing responsibility is co-shared with the General Manager. Direct contact and physical presence at clients is essential.
Responsibilities- Insures a profitable sales growth and company brand recognition in the area.
- Handles sales agreements with clients.
- Serves existing accounts and builds and maintains effective long-term relationships with a defined customer base to ensure a high level of satisfaction and increase revenues (within municipalities, the local ministries, and with the private sector).
- Actively prospects for new business.
- Creates, monitors, and revises lead generation plans to ensure a substantive sales opportunity pipeline.
- Plans, facilitates, and/or conducts complex negotiations, typically over a long sales cycle (i.e., one year or more), to reach long-term agreements and commitments.
- Identifies, develops, and typically closes new sales opportunities.
- Identifies and prioritizes new client opportunities and develops solution implementation and growth strategies.
- Manages the preparation of bids and tenders with particular emphasis on establishing the organization's trading terms with national, regional, or local governments. Draws up the regional sales budget and defines the appropriate action plan.
- Follows up on results and checks/implements them with well-defined targets to the Area Sales Manager.
- Acquires and maintains complete knowledge of the company's range of solutions, features, and benefits of those products and services that the Group can offer. Proactive actions required.
- Analyzes market needs and opportunities.
- Determines the product range and market approach.
- Participates actively in the development of new products and services.
- Contributes to the communication strategy.
- Implements the company's long-term vision in line with the Group strategy.
- Leads, manages, develops, and motivates the employees within the department.
- Manages the network of salespeople and motivates colleagues to ensure the company's sales.
- Coaches the team by giving them clear targets and checks this by the results.
Education: Master's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Geography, Sales, Business, etc.
Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience in the lighting industry in KSA.
Knowledge & Skills:
Languages: English (B2) + local language.
Sales approach and customer-oriented.
Excellent knowledge of the market (landscapers, architects, engineering offices), competition, and lighting industry.
