Job Description

The Area Sales Leader is responsible for the commercial development and turnover realized in the defined area, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The objective is to develop commercial activity via existing market segments and target new ones. Marketing responsibilities are co-shared with the General Manager. Direct contact and physical presence at clients is essential.

  1. Sales:
    • Ensure profitable sales growth and company brand recognition in the area.
    • Serve existing accounts and build effective long-term relationships with a defined customer base to ensure high satisfaction and increase revenues (within municipalities, local ministries, and the private sector).
    • Actively prospect for new business.
    • Create, monitor, and revise lead generation plans to ensure a substantive sales opportunity pipeline.
    • Plan, facilitate, and/or conduct complex negotiations, typically over a long sales cycle (i.e., one year or more), to reach long-term agreements and commitments.
    • Identify, develop, and typically close new sales opportunities.
    • Identify and prioritize new client opportunities and develop solution implementation and growth strategies.
    • Manage the preparation of bids and tenders with a focus on establishing the organization's trading terms with national, regional, or local governments.
    • Draw up the regional sales budget and define the appropriate action plan.
    • Follow up on results and implement them with well-defined targets to the Area Sales Manager.
  2. Marketing:
    • Acquire and maintain complete knowledge of the company's range of solutions, features, and benefits of products and services.
    • Analyze market needs and opportunities; determine the product range and market approach.
    • Participate actively in the development of new products and services.
    • Contribute to the communication strategy.
    • Implement the company's long-term vision in line with the Group strategy.
  3. People Management:
    • Lead, manage, develop, and motivate the employees within the department.
    • Manage the network of salespeople.
    • Motivate colleagues to ensure the company's sales.
    • Coach the team by giving them clear targets and checking results.

Qualifications

Education: Master's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Geography, Sales, Business, etc.

Experience: At least 10 years of relevant experience in the lighting industry in KSA.

Knowledge & Skills: Languages: English (B2) + local language; Sales approach & customer-oriented; Results-driven; Excellent negotiation & communication skills (written, oral); Excellent knowledge of the market (landscape architects, designers, research firms), competition & lighting industry.
