Job Description:

The Business Development Specialist at Culture House will play a pivotal role in enhancing our organization's market presence and driving growth initiatives. This junior-level position is designed for individuals with a strong aptitude for relationship-building and strategic thinking, alongside a foundational understanding of business development processes within cultural or creative sectors. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to identify potential business opportunities, foster partnerships, and support the implementation of strategic sales initiatives. This role demands a proactive approach to market research, client engagement, and collaboration with cross-functional teams while embodying the core values of Culture House in every interaction. The ideal candidate will exhibit a keen understanding of cultural trends and community dynamics, translating this knowledge into actionable strategies that align with our mission to enrich community engagement through the arts.

Job Requirements:

A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

At least 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably in the cultural or nonprofit sectors.

Proven track record of identifying and pursuing new business opportunities leading to increased revenue.

Familiarity with market research techniques and competitor analysis methodologies.

Strong knowledge of CRM systems and other business development software tools.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively.

Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including clients, partners, and community members.

Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams and contribute to a collective mission.

Capacity for critical thinking and problem-solving in fast-paced environments.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Experience in facilitating presentations and workshops to diverse audiences.

Willingness to engage with cultural communities and attend local events to establish connections and promote initiatives.

Knowledge of fundraising strategies and grant writing processes is desirable.

Fluency in multiple languages is a plus.

Availability for occasional travel and flexible scheduling.

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive market research to identify and evaluate potential business opportunities within the cultural sector.

Assist in the development and implementation of targeted business development strategies that align with Culture House's mission and goals.

Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders to establish Culture House as a trusted resource in the community.

Participate in networking events, community outreach activities, and industry conferences to promote organizational initiatives and build visibility.

Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling marketing materials, presentations, and proposals that effectively communicate the value of Culture House's offerings.

Track and analyze metrics related to business development efforts, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.

Support grant writing and funding proposals by researching potential funding sources and helping draft submissions.

Facilitate workshops and events to engage community members and stakeholders in Culture House's initiatives.

Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing ideas, providing feedback, and supporting colleagues in achieving shared objectives.

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging opportunities, and community needs to enhance strategic decision-making and organizational effectiveness.

Execute administrative tasks associated with business development efforts, including managing databases and maintaining accurate records of outreach activities.

Provide exceptional customer service to all clients and partners, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.

Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and strategies in business development.

Required Skills:
