Job Description:

The Technical Support Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operational functionality of IT equipment and network systems. This position is pivotal in maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing the technical infrastructure that supports our innovative digital services and solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of IT hardware, configuring new systems, managing local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN), and tackling software issues with inventive solutions. This role not only emphasizes technical proficiency but also demands strong interpersonal skills, allowing the specialist to lead a technical team effectively, communicate with suppliers, and provide exceptional support in alignment with the organization's mission of driving digital transformation.

Job Requirements:

2 to 4 years of practical experience in technical support, emphasizing hands-on troubleshooting and repair of IT equipment.

In-depth understanding and proficient technical skills in hardware setup, including computers, printers, and other peripheral devices.

Proven experience in managing and maintaining local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN) with a focus on performance optimization.

Proficient in identifying and resolving software issues, utilizing innovative technical solutions tailored to specific challenges.

Solid experience in managing servers and cloud computing platforms, ensuring data integrity and availability.

Strong programming skills, particularly in Python and Java, to support software technical issues and contribute to system improvements.

Demonstrated ability to lead a technical team, manage tasks effectively, and facilitate communication among team members and with external suppliers.

Experience in procuring necessary devices and equipment through collaboration with suppliers.

Recognized certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are considered advantageous for this position.

Job Responsibilities:

Execute maintenance and repair tasks on various IT hardware, including printers, computers, and other essential equipment to ensure maximum operational uptime.

Set up and configure new computers, printers, and peripheral devices, ensuring they meet organizational standards and user requirements.

Oversee and manage local and wide area network configurations to guarantee optimal connectivity and performance across the organization.

Diagnose and resolve complex software issues by implementing innovative technical solutions tailored to user needs and organizational goals.

Maintain and monitor server operations as well as cloud computing platforms to ensure secure and reliable data management.

Provide specialist technical support utilizing programming languages such as Python and Java to develop solutions and enhance system functionalities.

Lead and coordinate the activities of the technical support team, fostering a collaborative environment to achieve team objectives efficiently.

Liaise with suppliers to procure necessary devices and equipment, ensuring procurement aligns with technical specifications and budgetary constraints.

Required Skills:

Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess technical issues effectively and implement appropriate solutions promptly.

Excellent hardware troubleshooting capabilities, geared towards minimizing downtime and maximizing user productivity.

Proficiency in system and network management, ensuring a solid understanding of both local and wide area network protocols.

Familiarity with essential programming concepts, particularly in Python and Java, for effective software technical support and development.

Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide a technical team and foster an atmosphere of innovation and collaboration.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with team members, suppliers, and end-users.

Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring precision in technical tasks and projects, contributing to the overall operational efficiency.
