Overview: Our prestigious Project Management Consultancy firm, based in Riyadh, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to lead our efforts in expanding our client base and growing the business in the region. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in project management consulting, with a proven track record in business development, client relationship management, and the ability to drive strategic growth initiatives.

This role requires an individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills, the ability to understand market trends, and a solid understanding of the project management industry. The ideal candidate should also hold a Western degree qualification, preferably in business, management, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify and secure new business opportunities in the project management consultancy industry in Riyadh and the wider Saudi Arabian market, targeting both public and private sector clients and developing strategic partnerships.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify emerging trends and business opportunities. Utilize this research to develop actionable business development strategies, positioning the firm as a leader in the project management consultancy field.
  • Proposal Writing & Pitching: Lead the development of proposals, fee proposals, and presentations for potential clients, tailoring proposals to meet client requirements and ensuring all aspects of the project management lifecycle are covered.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with the project management team to ensure seamless delivery of services, aligning client expectations with deliverables and timelines.
  • Negotiation & Closing Deals: Lead negotiations with clients to close deals and secure contracts, ensuring that all contract terms are favorable and align with the firm's objectives.
  • Networking & Events: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking meetings to promote the firm's services, represent the brand, and identify business development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Western degree qualification in Business Administration, Management, Project Management, or a related field is required. An MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, ideally within the project management consultancy or construction sectors in Saudi Arabia or the wider Middle East. Strong understanding of the project management lifecycle and consulting industry. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and stakeholders. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
