WSP Middle East is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor (Civil & Structural) with a strong background in CCGT (Combined Cycle Gas Turbine) and OCGT (Open Cycle Gas Turbine) power plants. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience in civil and structural supervision related to power plant projects. The role requires overseeing site activities, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining safety compliance while coordinating with project stakeholders.

Your new role, what's involved?
  • Supervise and manage all civil and structural activities on-site in accordance with project plans and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and construction codes.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of civil works.
  • Oversee the construction of foundations, buildings, support structures, roads, and other related infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to design specifications.
  • Identify and resolve site issues or technical challenges promptly.
  • Prepare and maintain site reports, daily logs, and documentation for project progress tracking.
  • Ensure proper material usage, storage, and inventory management.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for workers to enforce compliance with HSE policies.
  • Assist in project handover, including final inspections, punch lists, and as-built documentation.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • Minimum of 15+ years of experience in civil and structural supervision within CCGT and OCGT power plants.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of civil construction, structural engineering, and power plant infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and AutoCAD.
  • Solid knowledge of HSE regulations, quality control, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with engineers, clients, and site personnel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  • Certification in Construction Management or Site Supervision.
  • Experience with large-scale power plant construction projects.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, project management methodologies, and contract management.
