As a **Data Architecture Specialist,** you will be responsible for designs related to data integration to lead the flow of data & information across the bank. Participate in Bank-wide data-related strategies including “enterprise data as an asset” strategy and “information management strategy”.

Develop Conceptual & Logical data models & illustrate how source data systems and EDW/ODR must interface in support of mission requirements.

**Responsibilities**:
**Policies, Processes & Procedures**
- Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner

**Day-to-day operations**
- Perform the day-to-day activities and ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures

**Design & Architecture**
- Support the Business Data Architecture section in the development and evolution of the Data Architecture practice, while overseeing the development of our evolving data architecture standards.
- Ensure the effective implementation of the data architecture framework needed for future projects and the growth of the RB business.
- Use the business requirements to develop a detailed architecture design for the changes and enhancements required for the RB overall Data Architecture.
- Develop and document an architecture framework that outlines the structure, content, metadata, planned changes, enhancements, known data quality problems, master data definitions tables and all relevant technical information about the current systems.
- Direct the resolution of specific data architecture issues as they arise with a focus on the proactive identification of issues and their resolution to minimize negative impacts on the business
- Develop Conceptual, Logical and where appropriate Physical data models necessary to support business initiatives.
- Design and develop Dimensional data models for Bl & analytics.
- Create and maintain the documentation of standards and best practices.

**Communication & Transfer of Knowledge**
- Work closely with all BIM team members to provide assistance, and identify any data design problems that should be addressed.
- Work closely with all EDMO sections to coordinate efforts and ensure the development and compliance with standards and models.

**Change Management**
- Assess the impact of introduced changes to people, processes and systems and develop relevant communication and awareness initiatives to support the effective implementation of change

**Continuous Improvement**
- Contributes to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement

**Reporting**
- Prepare timely and accurate reports to meet company and department requirements, policies and standards

**Related Assignments**
- Performs other related duties or assignments as directed

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management Systems or Computer Science with preferably a Master’s degree in MIS
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in Data & Information Management in banking
- 1-2 years experience in management in general
- 1-2 years experience in an Architect role in particular
- Advanced level of English

**Technical knowledge areas**:

- In-depth knowledge of the architecture required for data management
- Knowledge of Data Quality Management concepts, techniques and best practices
- Knowledge of Data Quality Profiling and reporting approaches.
- Knowledge of Data Quality issue remediation and sustaining techniques.
- Knowledge of Data Quality issue prevention approaches.
- Knowledge of the operations, products and services of banks and Financial institutions
- Knowledge of EDW data model for banking and Financial institutions
- Knowledge of Data Management concepts and techniques
- Understanding of the Bank’s strategy, objectives, products and services
- Understanding of market trends and competitor awareness.
