Parsons, working in partnership with one of our key clients in KSA, is looking to appoint a very senior Logistics Director. The role will provides management and leadership of all Logistics strategy, planning and delivery, coordinating with the other delivery partners and is a key role in the Parsons senior leadership team.

**What You’ll Be Doing**:

- Oversight of Functional Managers in updating standards and procedures manuals for the disciplines
- Leads Parsons plans to define strategic and financial goals to determine the resources required to achieve them, and directs effort to support the acquisition and retention those resources.
- Owner of the logistics portion of all reporting requirements at a city-wide level. Supervises the preparation of these requirements within the approved plan.
- Maintains/controls operating budget performance of logistics. Ensures performance within overhead budget.
- Leads all major logistics proposals and initiatives, including pre‑contract and business development efforts as required. Provides technical leadership to Parsons delivery.
- Responsible for the quality and progress of all logistics, ensuring that production requirements are satisfied.
- Actively participates in and promotes the Quality Improvement Programs.
- Ensures compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the assigned disciplines. Ensures compliance with corporate policies.
- Keeps abreast of current technology germane to the logistics. Participates in professional organizations; makes presentations at meetings and seminars (internal and external).
- Coordinates logistics strategy, planning and activity with pertinent external groups, such as regulatory agencies, as necessary.
- Oversees the logistics organization. Recruits, interviews, and evaluates prospective employees. Hires, offers personnel development, conducts performance evaluations, counsels, takes corrective action, as required and approves terminations. Ensures that new employees receive orientation on company policies and procedures.
- Plans, directs, and manages the annual salary increase budget within the constraints of corporate policy; approves all salary actions, monitors actual increases against budget throughout the year; approves hiring/termination recommendations; reviews and signs annual performance reviews for Functional Managers. Provides technical training and career development for all department employees.
- Performs other responsibilities, such as participating in corporate working groups, associated with this position as may be appropriate.

**What Required Skills You’ll Bring**:

- 3 or 4-year degree in any related field and 20+ years of related work experience, including significant managerial experience of senior professionals and technical support personnel.
- Requires extensive knowledge of logistics best practices, processes and current technology is required.
- Strong working knowledge of relevant ISO Quality Management Systems Standards is required.
- Significant HSSE experience also a preference for role.
- Active professional membership or MBA or related MSc degree is desirable.
- Proficiency in analyzing situations in business terms, i.e. ROI, cost per unit, etc. is desirable.

- Proven ability to manage a large group of senior technical personnel, the ability to drive excellence in field of expertise, focusing on safety, quality and improvement of processes, mentoring, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.
- Must also demonstrate the ability to effectively execute and manage complex tasks.
- Must also possess a thorough knowledge of current technology and the capabilities and efficiencies of specific discipline software.
- Must be capable of conducting focused briefings to all levels of management - this includes effective problem solving and exercising excellent judgment regarding timing and senior management involvement in significant issues.
- Ability to network across departments and key external stakeholders.
