**Job Summary**:
The Security Engineer is responsible for ensuring the security of the organization's systems, networks, and data by implementing and maintaining security controls and technologies. The role involves working closely with other members of the IT and security teams to identify, analyze, and remediate security risks and vulnerabilities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Implement and maintain security controls and technologies to protect the organization's systems, networks, and data.
- Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and trends, and use this knowledge to proactively identify potential security risks and implement appropriate controls.
- Collaborate with other members of the IT and security teams to develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Participate in incident response activities, including identifying, analyzing, and responding to security incidents in a timely and effective manner.
- Manage and maintain security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, SIEM, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other members of the IT and security teams.
- Participate in on-call rotations and respond to security incidents outside of normal business hours as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in information security or a related field.
- Strong technical skills in security controls and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, SIEM, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and regulations such as NIST, ISO, PCI, and GDPR.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Relevant security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or CISM are preferred.
