As an energy engineer, you’ll plan, regulate and monitor the energy use in various facilities, from commercial, education, healthcare to industrial. You’ll evaluate energy use and implement conservation measures, monitor energy consumption, assess business decisions for sustainability and seek out opportunities for increasing energy efficiency. You’ll also coordinate all aspects of energy management, from conducting audits and surveys to developing strategies and policies to overseeing implementation and reporting.

**Responsibilities**

As an energy engineer, you'll need to:

- Develop, coordinate and implement strategies and policies to reduce energy consumption across business and industries.
- Have a positive customer centric mindset
- Be up to date with related trends within the energy monitoring, management and renewables.
- Conduct Energy Audits according to ASHRAE level 1 and 2
- Audit process will be for various facilities from commercial, education, healthcare to industrial facilities.
- Collect and analyze the collected data and prepare a GAP analyses report to share with the end user highlighting benefits.
- Identify areas of energy waste and ECM improvements
- Conduct Energy balance for a facility
- Supervise inspection and installation process
- Knowledge and experience of Safety and prevention methods.
- Prepare energy monitoring and management solutions design

**Develop and Implement Energy savings solutions**
- Compare benchmark energy consumptions against best practice guidelines
- Oversee the implementation of short and long-term projects and solutions that increase energy efficiency, minimize unnecessary consumption
- Manage the monitoring process and prepare an Energy saving opportunity report to the end user to advise:
Low cost / no cost savings

Low risk projects

Major conservation projects
- Develop ECM
- Ability to work with team members and external stakeholders

**Manage Utility Budget**
- Conduct M&V analysis
- Calculate current energy costs and potential savings of upcoming projects / optimization

**Documentation and reporting**
- Prepare periodic progress reports and present to management
- Prepare monthly report showing corrective actions, optimization opportunities, alarms for faulty machines to end user
- Provide technical and practical advice and offer training on energy efficiency
- Keep accurate records and regularly collect energy monitoring data
- Assist in preparing feasibility study for investment opportunities showing the ROI, IRR, SPB,

**To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have**:
A bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechatronics engineering or equivalent.

A certified energy manager (CEM), certified energy auditing (CEA) certification

At least three years of practical experience in energy management and auditing

Proven experience in working with electrical and mechatronics systems as well as knowledge of the energy use in organizations.

Strong analytical and quantitative abilities

Excellent communication and presentation skills

A high-performance creativity and an optimistic attitude

LEED certification is a plus.

Coordinate with commercial team project feasibility analysis (why should a technical person to this, it should be covered by you Mahmooud)

**Salary**: ﷼8,000.00 - ﷼12,000.00 per month

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- practical experience in energy management and auditing: 3 years (preferred)

**Language**:

- English + Arabic (preferred)

License/Certification:

- (CEM), (CEA) certification (preferred)
