**Participate in the development of the agency's financial and accounting policies and instructions at the Kingdom level, such as cash management policies, public accounts policies, and financial control policies, in coordination with the concerned departments**

**Responsibilities**:

- Participate in the formulation of the Agency's strategy.
- Participate in defining the department's strategic goals and performance indicators and work to achieve them.
- Contribute to the implementation of the strategy of the Agency for Financial Affairs and Accounts.
- Participate in setting goals and operational plans for the department.
- Periodic review of the current policies of public accounts, cash management policies, financial control and executive frameworks thereof, work on reviewing the draft document of proposed developments and improvements in line with regulations and systems and submitting it to the concerned in the Agency for review and approval.

- Participate in the preparation and review of draft governance models with government agencies related to public account policies and submit them to the concerned parties in the agency for review and approval.
- Participate in reviewing proposals submitted by various organizational units or government agencies regarding amending and developing policies, making notes on them, and submitting them to stakeholders in the agency for review and approval.
- Participate in the preparation and review of draft financial and accounting instructions, year-end closing instructions, financial closing periods and the closing timetable, and submitting them to those concerned in the agency for review and approval for partnership with government agencies and the sectors unit.
- Monitoring and following up on local, regional, and international policies related to financial affairs and accounts to limit their impact on the agency's policies and making recommendations to those concerned in the agency and discussing them with them.
- Participate in the preparation of various research related to the work of public accounts, cash management and financial control, and guide the work team to the research reviewer.
- Participate in the preparation of studies for the agency with key stakeholders.
- Reviewing the financial regulations of independent government agencies and participating in the preparation of reports with the most important recommendations thereon to be submitted to those concerned in the agency for review and guidance according to the powers

**Other Requirements**:

- Academic Certifications: bachelor’s degree in financial management or equivalent.
- Professional Certification: Professional Certificate of Training Course in Government Accounting/ Certificate in International Accounting Standards (ACCA) / (ICAEW)
- Minimum: 8 years in financial management or equivalent.
- Comprehensive knowledge of IPSAS.
- Comprehensive knowledge about accounting principles on a cash and accrual basis and preparing financial statements and reports.
- Knowledge of financial and accounting instructions.
- General Knowledge of monetary management policy.
- General knowledge of the government’s financial statistics issued by the international monetary fund.
